The Billiard Room
Originally a blanket factory, and subsequently the village school, it was converted into a billiard room by the owner of The Close in the 1920’s. It has recently undergone sympathetic restoration to create a unique and quirky hideaway for couples.
Total relaxation
The building is entered through a grand, old oak door, has a magnificent beamed vaulted roof, and a large stone fireplace with a log burner. The cosy leather sofa is the perfect place to curl up and read a book, listen to your favourite music on the sound system, or watch a DVD or TV.
Sleep in peace
The hand painted four poster bed, with matching chest of drawers & wardrobe, will let you drift off in the peace and quiet of the grounds of The Close, after a day exploring the beautiful villages & countryside in the surrounding area.
Casual dining
If you don’t want to venture out, everything is provided for relaxed dining in. Sit at the oak breakfast table with stools, cook on the freestanding cooking range with electric oven and ceramic hob, and serve up with the full range of crockery, glasses & cutlery provided.
Everything for an easy life
In a separate utility area, you will find a fridge & sink, together with a walk in shower room, WC & hand basin.
The teak bench outside the front door is a great spot to unwind with a morning coffee, or an early evening cocktail looking over the front gardens of The Close.
A parking spot is available on the gravel drive.
